Welcome to Connections for Youth!
Connections for Youth, Inc. (Connections) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community outreach organization dedicated to serving foster youth in Sacramento County by providing the opportunity to experience nature, culture, and the arts by taking youth on trips and creating life long memories that motivate and inspire. The shared experiences will help to build self-esteem and long lasting relationships with adults and peers.
Participants can include youth who are in one or more of the following categories: current or former foster youth, youth who have been placed in an out of home placement through guardianship, kinship, probation or non related extended family member services or youth who are ILP (Independent Living Program) eligible.
Participants can be recommended to participate in a Connections event by a resource family parent (formerly called foster parent), county social worker, CASA worker, ILP social worker, teacher, principal, coach, mentor or attorney. Nominated For Women Making History 2014
March is Women’s History Month, and “Girls On The Grid” thought it would be fun to profile some of the talented women in Sacramento making history right now – ladies who are working on projects and creating businesses that will leave a lasting and positive impact in Sacramento, CA.
“Girls On The Grid” received over 50 amazing nominations and selected 20 women who they felt were make a lasting mark in the Sacramento community. While you may recognize a few names, they tried to choose women who they felt weren't get enough “credit” for their hard work and accomplishments. To read the full article, click here. Bike ride with Bike Labs
July 11, 2015 – This was the inaugural ride for Bike Labs and Connections for Youth. OMG! Lake Natoma is beautiful and such a great ride. CFY had 4 students, 2 group home staff, Samantha Olson, CFY Staff and Chris Aguirre, Bike Lab Staff. The ride reminded me of how much I love my bike.

Camping at the Presidio
June 25, 2015 – What an exciting time! Again we completed the journey to the Presidio in San Francisco. This is a favorite spot of the students. There were 12 students, 2 foster parent, 2 CFY staff and Jens from REI.
